Five teachers. Five lineages. Fifty training hours. One immersive week to explore Yoga from its ancient roots to its modern expression.
This is not a normal training. Think of it like a Yoga summer camp. School is in session during the day, and at night we sit by the fire and tell stories. Over 7 days, you’ll experience 5 distinct styles of yoga in great depth. We’ll work hard, but it’s also designed to feel like recess for your soul. You’ll meet classmates and teachers from around the world and expand your yoga community.

Yoga Training Timeline:
-
Meet your camp counselors and fellow students. Ground into the beautiful retreat center, unpack your things, share a family-style meal, and prepare for the wondrous journey ahead.
-
Start the training with Kimia in the world of Hatha Yoga, a traditional yogic system that uses asana, pranayama, and meditation to purify the body and balance its subtle energy systems.
After a morning practice, Kimi will guide us through workshop topics including Classical Tantra, Chakras, Bandhas, Kriyas, and Mantras.
-
Ashtanga day with Marla dives into a set sequence of asanas developed by T. Krishnamacharya & Pattabhi Jois to cultivate deep focus and discipline.
Marla will guide us us through Led Primary Series in the morning followed by workshops on backbends, adjustments, yoga history, and an introduction to the Sutras.
-
Rocket Yoga® day with Shawna explores a semi-set sequence that was adopted from Ashtanga, sometimes referred to as Ashtanga’s crazy cousin.
Learn assists and inversions within the Rocket philosophy, as well as heartful workshops on writing & rhythm, finding your voice, and handstanding from zero.
-
Ben will introduce us to Katonah Yoga®, a geometric and metaphor-rich system that draws from multiple lineages including Iyengar Yoga and Taoist theory.
Workshops will include Becoming a Sphere, props & adjustments, intelligent backbending, and how to measure up. He may also sneak in a Bhagavad Gita talk ;)
-
Finish the training with Brandon as he guides us through a free-flowing style of Vinyasa that honors Yoga’s roots while exploring its modern evolution.
After a dynamic Vinyasa masterclass, workshops will include creative sequencing, the 7 Doorways of Free-Flow Vinyasa, and Anti-Gravity School focused on mobility & handstands.

Our Home for the Week:
Founded in 2005 by a young couple with big dreams, Earth Lodge was the first commercial property to be built on this mountain. The farm resort was built cabin by cabin, avocado tree by avocado tree, continuously evolving into “that famous treehouse resort” in the mountains just outside of Antigua Guatemala.
Careful attention is given to every detail; from the clean modern decor locally sourced for the renovated cabins, spa, and lodge, to the organic and eco-friendly soaps and bath products.
The organic farm at Earth Lodge is home to over 350 Haas avocado trees, which are fed compost from the kitchen – one of the many regenerative practices to live in harmony with the land.
Getting there:
Earth Lodge is about 20 minutes from downtown Antigua and 1.5 hours from GUA Airport (La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City). Guests are responsible for booking their flights and getting from GUA Airport to Earth Lodge. Ubers and Taxis generally cost around $40 USD one-way from GUA Airport to Earth Lodge. You can also book shuttles through Earth Lodge by emailing earthlodge@gmail.com and mentioning Summer School. A shuttle for 5+ people is $100 flat rate. We’re here to help if you have any questions or concerns.
